Adding A New Breed or Variety
The American Poultry Association takes seriously its charge of maintaining the best possible descriptions for the recognized breeds and varieties of poultry.
The process to add a new breed may seem onerous, however the intent is to show there is a solid base of breeders working on a new variety and that it has reached a stage that could be classified as ‘”standardized”.
