Introducing the Youth Exhibition Poutlry Assn (YEPA)
By: Russ Crevoiserat

The New Year has brought a big change for the APA/ABA Youth Poultry Club. In an effort to ensure the future of the youth organization, the club was incorporated with a new name and re-organized to ensure its longevity. With its rebirth, the youth club is now known as the Youth Exhibition Poultry Association, or YEPA. Aside from the name change, a new logo, a new website address and the incorporated form of organizational structure, nothing else has changed.. READ MORE

Flock Certification Program--updated March 2015 PLEASE READ

The American Poultry Association (APA) has decided to proceed with an official flock certification program. This action was approved by the Board of Directors at our 2014 Annual meeting in Knoxville, Tennessee. Currently the Certification Committee is ironing out the details in order to launch the program as soon as possible. It should be understood that this program is for the benefit of breeders who are raising standard-bred birds for commercial purposes.

It in no way affects exhibition flocks or the showing of birds.

The APA will designate flock inspectors who, when requested, will examine commercial flocks to determine if they conform to the APA Standard of Perfection. If they do, the breeder may advertise this fact in their literature and on their product. Details of the program and the certification process will be forthcoming.

Please keep in mind that this is an APA approved flock certification program and we do not endorse other certification programs that are currently being advertised via social media. Enter any other flock certification agreements at your own risk.
